HTC have made several improvements to the Legend over the original HTC Hero-

OLED Display – One of the biggest changes is the display. Although it is the same size, the AMOLED technology behind it allows for brighter livelier colours, increased battery life and a better resilience to damage

Optical Trackpad – The original hero had a trackball which has now been swapped out for an optical trackpad much like the one seen on the HTC Desire
Faster Processor – The HTC Legend also receives a 600mhz processor, where as the Hero featured a 528mhz processor
Memory – There is also an extra 33% memory stuffed into the HTC Legend, taking the total to 384MB
Battery Life – Although the HTC Legend features a smaller capacity battery, the more power efficient screen allows for a much longer standby time.

So HTC have made some much welcomed improvements with the HTC Legend handset, but they didnt just stop there!

They have also packed in a 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 802.11b/b Wi-Fi and a GPS receiver.

The HTC Hero took the mobile phone market by storm, and was one of the best selling Android handsets last year. The HTC Legend is set to repeat this success with its hardware upgrades and solid performance.

I know this is a bit off topic but I just had to write about it! Ever wondered what your Facebook profile would be if it was a holiday destination? Find out with the Holiday Match Maker from Halifax.

It’s not often I actually come across anything useful of Facebook, always getting spammed with ridicolous group invitations and general annoyances like that. However the other day I actually came across quite a useful Facebook application for a changed!

What it does, it look over the data you have filled out in your profile and then works out what your ideal holiday destination would be. This was great for me as we are looking for a weekend break in the next couple of months and geography isn’t exactly my strong point

Once it recommends a destination, it also recommends places to stay and things to do in and around the destination, its bloody great! They even tie in the Halifax Travel Money service to handle your currency exchanges to!

Can You Find The Millionth Hotspot?

British Telecom (BT) has finally completed its goal of building the largest Wi-Fi hotspot network in Britain with over one million Wi-Fi hotspots now available!

BT’s Wi-Fi customers are on track to spend over a billion minutes online through their Wi-Fi service this year alone. A lot of this activity is due to the launch of the iPhone as BT have agreements in place with O2, Orange and Vodafone so their customers can use the iPhone on BT Wi-Fi network free of charge.

Wi-Fi access is available for homes, businesses, high street chains as well as city centres. This is made up from the BT FON community and BT openzone.

BT are launching a competition on the 11th February to find the millionth hotspot! Check it out at Twitter.
