Thanks for all the info and links. I have only 1 question. Where can i get a Samsung Galaxy s11 deal, where i can get unlimited data, about 600 minutes voice and basically about 50 texts. There are some reasonable deals around, but for example 3g, i have to take 5000 texts as part of their deals, and i just dont use text.

the phone i want unlocked is a phone that i had under my ex husbands orange account. we have now split and i have kept the phone. he has previously had the imei number blocked but now lifted it again. if i get the phone unlocked can he still block the imei number?

I have just upgraded to the HTC Sensation xe and there is a huge issue with the signal to be honest it is terrible i had an iphone 4 and the so called death grip was not at all to bad by no means am i an apple fan boy otherwise i would have just got the iphone 4s, the strange thing is i am on o2 and where i live o2 is the best signal coverage but the phone fails to stay locked on to this carrier for more than a few minutes and then tells me on screen other networks are available i.e. vodafone orange and 3 can not understand this as they are very weak coverage in my aera, I dont want to sound as though i am slating this phone as i believe it has the potential to be way better than apple,s iphone please HTC get this sorted, if it is something i am doing wrong in the initial settings and phone set up i applogise so please correct me and let me know how to set this device up properly thanks.

Hiya,
I also bought my N8 from Tesco as I refused to pay £150 more to have it on my network. I’ve tried 3 websites now and paid roughly £4 each time for an unlocking code and each have replied saying there aren’t codes available to unlock my phone.
Is there anywhere you know from experience where I can definitely get a code? I’m just fed up of forking out money each time to get rejected

Definitely a serious death grip issue. I have a sensation xe and it is worse than sensation. It’s a shame cause the rest is perfect. I hope Google will solve this issue soon enough before I change it

It's not really something you want to have to fiddle with, especially with a high end smartphone! Kinda takes away from the excitement of a new phone. Hopefully this is fixed with the HTC Sensation XE due out next week. Perhaps you could return your Sensation (can do within 14 days of purchase if its a contract) and wait for the XE to be released.

Got HTC Sensation 2 days ago and I’ve encountered the death grip issue. But it doesn’t affect the mobile signal and the bluetooth on my case. Only the wifi drops down to zero whenever I place my finger or palm (horizontal hold) at the top right of the phone. I can avoid it too especially if I’m holding it horizontally.

That would be great, please go ahead. HTC came back to me yesterday via e-mail for further information on my particular signal issues and asked for additional information so they seems interested in finding a solution. The more people that log a support case the quicker we may see a fix released.
