A couple of months ago we reported in our post Android in numbers that Google had sold and activate over 100 million Android devices in 2011.
Back then, Google were activating around 275,000 Android devices every day. Now though, Google are activating over 500,000 devices on a daily basis which is a huge increase! This was confirmed in a tweet by Andy Rubin SVP of mobile at Google.

Yes you read that right that first time, Microsoft has earned over $150 million out of Android since last year.
Let me explain things a little back. Microsoft owns a number of patents that HTC use in their phones. City analyst Walter Pritchard has worked out that HTC pays Microsoft $5 for every Android smartphone that it creates.

Yesterday we reported a huge flaw with Android devices leaking private data over unsecure wireless networks.

Researchers at the Ulm university in Germany have proven that it is very easy to gain full access to users private data stored in Google services.
It is possible to gain full access to a range of areas on the phone including contacts, albums and the calendar. It is also possible to edit or delete any of these.

A new report by Juniper Networks finds a 400% increase in Android malware.
