The HTC Sensation XL is the latest and greatest Android handset to be released by HTC. The uniquely styled handset is beautiful to look at and packs a powerful punch in the hardware department and it’s huge screen will really draw your eye. The handset also makes sure of the new Beats Audio technology, more on that later.

First of all lets look at some of the best offers and deals that are available for the handset at the moment. Without a doubt the best option is to look online as it is very easy to compare all of the best deals in seconds. Make sure you get a contract deal that meets all of your personal needs and requirements in terms of allowances.

HTC Sensation XL Contract Deals

Head Turning Design

The Sensation XL really does stand out from the smartphone crowd. Dressed in white with a silver backing and red highlights, there is no way you could get it confused with any other handset. I welcome design innovation like this from handset manufacturers as phones have started to look very similar to each other in recent years. Design is what used to sell a phone, now its hardware specification so I’m happy to see HTC making a push back into the design realm.

The Sensation XL like its name suggests, carries an extra large screen. It measures 4.7 inches and is capable of displaying a resolution of 480 x 800 which will provide some very crisp images. That large screen does make the phone quite big at 132.5mm x 70.7mm x 9.9 mm and weighs 162.5 grams with the battery.

In terms of size and specification this is the Google Android version of the HTC Titan.

The Android Titan

Delving deep inside the handset will find a Qualcomm MSM8255 1.5GHz processor at the heart of the Sensation XL with 768MB of RAM. Although it is only a single core processor unlike the dual core CPU in the HTC Sensation XE, there is more than enough power to keep Android running smoothly.

The camera has received a lot of love from HTC as well. The new upgraded camera is stupidly quick, focuses instantly and delivers some really great shots. This is because unlike cameras on other handset, this camera operates at F2.2 with a BSI sensor and a dual LED flash.

All of this helps the camera to be quick and responsive while delivering very sharp and crisp images even in low light conditions. All of this is sat on top of the 8 megapixel sensor. It’s good to see that manufacturers are now focusing on the quality of image instead of just how many megapixels they can cram in. There is also a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for you video callers and self portrait lovers.

The phone has 16GB of internal memory to store your music, video and photos and a range of sensors including a Gyro sensor, G-Sensor, Digital compass, Proximity sensor and Ambient light sensor. You will also find Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n support built in.

Beats Audio

If you have ever tried to listen to music via your Android phone, it’s likely you weren’t that impressed with the stock music player and the tinny flat sound it outputs. HTC have been working hard to improve the mobile audio experience and The Sensation XL is one of the first phones to feature the Beats Audio technology by Dr. Dre.

This is essentially a series of audio profiles that are tailored specifically to the Beats Solos ear buds (included with the phone) and YourBeats headphones (included in limited edition packs). This will allow the handset to deliver the music just like the artist intended and provide a quality listening experience.

The included headphones are actually very impressive. I have personally always been a bit fussy with headphones, you can really tell the difference between a £10 set and a £100 set and owning a quality set of headphones just makes music that much better. The included Beats Solos and YourBeats (limited edition) headphones are certainly of premium quality. They are very similar to the Dr. Dre ear buds that retail for £100 at the time of writing.

The headphones provide really good clarity and depth of sound, and if you’re a bass head you will fall in love! You can tell these are premium headphones within seconds of throwing on your favourite track.

The HTC Sensation XL is a remarkable handset; it has a fresh design and a solid hardware specification. If you prefer handsets with a bigger screen then you can’t go wrong with picking up the handset free of charge with most HTC Sensation XL contract deals.

If you prefer a smaller screen then you might want to check out these HTC Sensation XE deals instead.

With the release of the HTC Sensation XE this week, HTC have also announced the brand new HTC Sensation XL. We have heard a few rumours about this handset over the past month or so, but now we have it straight from the horse’s mouth!

Like the Sensation XE the Sensation XL will feature the Beats by Dr. Dre audio technology. However the Sensation XL is the first handset to be built working with the Beats audio engineers from the ground up. The Beats technology was just added onto the Sensation XE, I don’t think it makes a difference really but thought I would make that clear. Let’s not forget those mean looking headphones that come with the phone.

Other specifications include a huge 4.7 inch super LCD screen running at 480×800 pixels which should make for some incredible crisp details. Threes also a 1.5 GHz processor (single core) and 16GB of internal storage to hand.

The camera has also received a bit of loving, boasting an f/2.2 28mm wide angle lens with a BSI sensor. What that means in English is that you will be able to take much higher quality and sharper images when in low light conditions. There’s also a dual LED flash to help light things up a bit as well!

All of this is packed into a handset this is only 9.9mm in thickness – 132.5mm x 70.7mm x 9.9 mm and weighs 162.5 grams with the battery. Essentially the Sensation XL is the HTC Titan except it runs on Android and has the Beats by Dr. Dre technology as well.

There is no world on pricing or release date yet, but stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted!

Yet another new handset release this week, and this time it’s the flagship HTC Sensation XE! This is one of the most exciting Android handsets to be released on the run up to Christmas and it’s a cracker!

Featuring a dual core 1.5 Ghz processor the HTC Sensation XE makes the Galaxy S2 look old hat. It is currently the most powerful Android device on the market and also features the well acclaimed Beats by Dr. Dre audio.

HTC have made a big push towards improving audio on their mobile devices and have teamed up with Dr. Dre to bring his Beats audio technology to mobile phones. This audio technology is a first in mobile phones and will deliver crisp sounds and rich bass.

The handset also comes with a set of premium Audio beats headphones that have been specially designed to complement the Sensation XE. If you have only ever used cheap headphones around the £30 mark, you will be amazed just how good the included premium Audio Beats headphones are that can deliver head rumbling baselines.

The HTC Sensation XE is going to be one of the biggest selling Android handsets in the coming months. It’s top class hardware specification and advancements in audio technology make this a winner! The Samsung Galaxy S2 has been kicked off the Android throne.

There have been a number of other handsets released this week as well including the Blackberry Torch 9860, Blackberry Curve 9360 and Blackberry Torch 9810. They really are spoiling us for choice at the moment!

Drop Dead Gorgeous

The overall design and styling of the HTC Sensation XE is absolutely beautiful. The striking red accents across the phone really help bring the phone to life and are very pleasing to the eye.

The massive 4.3 inch display manages to cram in 540 x 960 pixels which make images and video look vivid and sharp. The big screen is great for browsing the web and flicking through your contacts/text messages etc. Having a larger screen really does make a big difference to the overall user experience.

Upgraded Hardware

HTC have been busy upgrading the hardware specification of the Sensation XE. They have dropped in a dual core 1.5Gh processor at the heart of the handset which makes it the fastest Android handset on the market. Sat alongside the processor is 768MB of RAM which will help to ensure the handset runs smoothly even if you have a lot of applications open.

The 8 megapixel camera is quite impressive as well, recording full 1080P HD video. There are a couple of advanced camera features such as a flash and auto focus as well. The handset only comes with 4GB of internal storage though, which isn’t too shabby but it would have been nice to see 8GB. If you do need more memory though it can accept up to a 32GB MicroSD card.

To help keep the beefed up hardware running for longer, HTC have also included a higher capacity battery. Capable of holding 1730 mAh the handset can deliver 310+ hours of standby time or 550 minutes (9 hours) of talk time which is quite impressive for a phone of this specification.

Beats by Dr. Dre

The biggest and best feature of this handset though has to be the Beats by Dr. Dre integration. In general the mobile audio experience is a pretty poor one on Android handset. Volumes are limited and the stock music software and hardware are pretty basic to say the least.

HTC are looking to vastly improve mobile audio with the HTC Sensation XE. They have been working with Dr. Dre to brings his Beats audio technology to its handsets and the Sensation XE will be the first handset to showcase this technology.

Featuring dedicated audio processing hardware, the handset will be able to deliver clear and defined sound. You will also get a set of Beats headphones with the handset which delivers some of the best sound I have heard through a set of headphones. Bass lines will make your head rumble and have you pulling the robot at the bus stop.

The all new Windows Phone Mango device from HTC finally gets a UK release date. The HTC titan is going to be the most powerful Windows Phone on the market once it hits retailers.

The handset will feature a 1.5 Ghz processor with 512MB RAM running on the latest version of Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. All of this will be splashed across its huge 4.7 inch touchscreen which is the largest screen to be found on any Windows Phone handset.

Interestingly, the camera has seen a significant upgrade as well. Like most high end smartphone cameras the HTC Titan has an 8 megapixel sensor but what makes this camera different is the lens. The lens operates at F2.2 meaning that you can take great looking photos in dark environments because the lens lets more light into the 8 megapixel sensor.

There’s also the usual bells and whistles such as satellite navigation, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and 16GB of integrated storage.

The HTC Titan release date has been set as the 7th October in the UK and across most of the world. A number of UK retailers are already gearing up for the release and there are some fantastic HTC Titan deals springing up already!

The HTC Titan will be the first handset to receive the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update. The Titan is a multimedia powerhouse with an incredible specification and some exclusive features. Let’s take a closer look at the all new Windows Phone 7.5 device.

Getting the sim free version of the phone is usually a good choice. They come unlocked and ready to accept any sim card from any network, they are also free from all of the networking branding and software that gets preinstalled on contract handsets.

Luscious Looks

I have always found Windows Phone handsets to be a bit on the ugly side in the past, but the HTC Titan is actually quite eye catching. It has a unique contoured design around the rear edges of the handset which makes it feel very comfortable in the hand. You’ll have to try it for yourself to see what I mean.

Overall the handset measures just 131.5mm x 70.7mm x 9.9mm but is a bit on the bulky side weighing 160 grams. That weight will largely be due to the mammoth 4.7inch display which is the biggest screen available across the Windows Phone range of devices. The screen crams in 480×800 pixels making text look sharp and crisp while bringing photos and video to life.

HTC have put a lot of through into the look and feel of the Titan which really shines through when using it.

The Fastest Windows Phone Yet

The HTC Titan has some impressive hardware tucked away inside, from its 1.5Ghz processor to the 512MB of ram. This all helps to keep the handset running smoothly without any noticeable lag.

All of this is powered by the 1600 mAh battery which can put out 710 minutes talk time and 360 hours of standby time. You will also find standard features such as GPS, a headphone socket, range of sensors and a massive 16GB of internal storage!

The Most Advanced Smartphone Camera

Although we have had cameras on our phones for years now, they have all suffered from similar problems. Shots always come out to dark or blurry unless it’s a bright and sunny day. Although we have seen a huge increase in the amount of megapixels on our phones this doesn’t actually solve the blurry shot issue at all.

The 8 megapixel camera on the HTC Titan is different though, it has an F2.2 lens and BSI sensor which allows more light into the lens allowing for clearer and sharper pictures even in low light environments. I have a keen interest in amateur photography and this kind of lens specification will make a huge difference.

This is probably the biggest advancement in mobile camera technology for the last few years and with any luck HTC will be pushing the same lens into its other flagship devices soon.

The HTC Titan is definitely the heavyweight of the Windows Phone 7 world. It carries an amazing specification with the biggest screen to be found on any Windows Phone device. On top of that it has what I consider to be the best smartphone camera money can buy. The HTC Titan sim free is a fantastic piece of hardware, what more could you want? There are also some great HTC Titan deals if you don’t mind taking out a contract.

The HTC Sensation XE is the new Android heavy weight in town. With a powerful dual core 1.5Ghz processor and Beats by Dr Dre audio technology the Sensation XE may well knocked the Galaxy S2 off the number 1 podium.

Although the handset is based on the original HTC Sensation, the new XE model has received a number of improvements and upgrades across the board.

HTC Sensation XE Contract Deals

The Most Powerful Android Device Yet

Let’s just get straight into the meat of the hardware specification. There’s a dual core 1.5Ghz processor sat at the heart of this beast with 768MB of ram (same as the original Sensation) to help keep the phone running smoothly for you multi taskers out there.

That is the fastest processor to be seen in an Android device so far, and I’m sure that Samsung sat up straight in their chairs when they heard the official announcement of the Sensation XE.

One of the biggest features of the HTC Sensation XE though is it’s audio performance. HTC have teamed up with Beats by Dr. Dre to improve the mobile audio experience substantially. The Sensation XE is the first HTC handset to benefit from this new hardware. It will also come with a set of in ear noise cancelling Beats headphones that have been specially designed for the Sensation XE.

The Audio Beats headphones are actually quite impressive and provide fantastic bass response, combined with the upgraded hardware in the phone there is a noticeable difference in quality and response when listening to music. If you have never heard the difference between a £20 set of headphones and a £100 set of headphones then prepare to be seriously blown away!

On the rear of the handset is an 8MP camera with auto focus and LED flash, the camera can also record full HD 1080P video as. You will also find 4GB of internal memory which is expandable via a MicroSD card (up to 32GB). Let’s not forget the usual bells and whistles such as a 3.5mm headphone socket, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, USB and Wi-Fi.

All of this is supported by a larger 1730mAh battery which is the highest capacity battery we have seen on a HTC device so far. This will give you up to 550 minutes talk time and 310 hours standby time!

Pleasing To The Eye

I’ve got to say, I love the design of the Sensation XE and is a huge improvement over the original Sensation. It looks very sleek and the splashes of red around the handset give it a really distinctive look.

The Sensation XE also features a huge 4.3 inch touch screen which makes the device very easy and pleasing to use. The large display is perfect for browsing the web and playing games. Running at a resolution of 540 X 960 pixels images and videos literally look like they are coming to life right in front of you.

The custom made Beats headphones have also been designed to complement the styling of the handset. With red cables and chrome trimmings on the inline controls they look the part!

Ready And Waiting

As a bit of a music junkie I was very frustrated with the audio experience that Android handsets offer. The first problem I had was finding a music player with a built in equalizer because the stock one sounds awful. In the end I had to spend a few quid on PowerAmp.

The second problem was the volume output was so quiet, even with my Shure SE310 headphones. Again the only way to fix that was to buy an app from the market called Volume Boost.

More and more people are using their mobile phones for music and I believe HTC are making huge steps in the right direction by focusing on improving the mobile audio experience. This will be the first time a handset manufacturer has included what I would consider to be good quality premium headphones, a trick Apple could do with learning as well.

In Summary

The HTC Sensation XE packs the most powerful hardware specification of any Android phone currently. It is also the only Android phone to feature Beats by Dr Dre technology for a much improved mobile audio experience.

There is no doubt that the HTC Sensation XE has just knocked the Samsung Galaxy S2 off the top spot. If you’re looking for a new handset you cannot go wrong with the Sensation XE!

The HTC Titan will be the fastest and first Windows Phone 7.5 device on the market. It’s large display (which is the largest on any Windows Phone 7 handset), technical specification and ultra slim design makes this a perfect handset.

Getting the phone with a contract is the cheapest way to get hold of the handset. The best deals are usually found online and the comparison tool below gets updated every monrning with the latest deals. You can compare offers from a number of merchants in seconds.

HTC Titan Contract Deals

A High Spec Smartphone

The HTC Titan has a very impressive hardware specification to say the least. For starters there’s a 1.5Ghz processor with 512MB of ram on hand to deal with whatever you choose to throw at it. This kind of specification will have multi taskers drooling all over themselves as they flick between apps, games and media without delay.

There is also an 8MP camera on the HTC Titan but it deserves a special mention. Unlike other cameras on mobile devices this has an F2.2 lens and BSI sensor. For the non photographers reading this, the lower F stop will allow you to take brighter crisper photos even if you’re in low light conditions. This is quite a big development in the mobile camera world and hopefully HTC Titan will be fitting it to other models in the future as well. Oh, it can record 720P HD video as well!

There are also the standard features such as a 1.3MP front facing camera, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB socket.

Contoured Design

The HTC Titan certainly looks the part with its sleek and glossy black finish. The rear of the handset has a contoured design which makes the phone surprisingly comfortable to hold. In fact my normal phone feels a bit weird now after using the Titan for a while and is certainly something I would like to see on other HTC handsets in the future.

The huge 4.7inch touch screen really draws your eye with how bright and crisp it is. It runs at a resolution of 480 x 800 and playing back some HD YouTube footage on the device was captivating. The handset measures 131.5mm x 70.7mm x 9.9mm which is pretty impressive for a phone of this specification. Been only 9.9mm in thickness means it slips into your pocket comfortably and is easy to carry with you.

A Functional Beast

Windows Phone 7.5 Mango offers some very unique features to the user experience. First off it has Xbox Live integration which offers a great mobile gaming experience. Microsoft are rolling out new features for the mobile version of Xbox Live and I’m quite excited to see exactly where they go with it. You can be pretty sure it will be the ultimate mobile gaming experience though.

It also comes with Microsoft Office allowing you to create, edit and save documents on the go. Although this might not be an important feature for some, for people like me it’s fantastic as I can work on the go.

At a press event in London, HTC officially unveiled 2 brand new Windows Phone 7 Mango devices. The HTC Titan and HTC Radar both got official and we have images and the full details below.

HTC have also been busy with making a few changes and improvements to WP7 much like they did with HTC Sense and Android.

Introducing The HTC Titan

The HTC Titan (leaked as the Eternity) stole the show, and is officially the fastest WP7 phone on the market with a 1.5 GHz processor. It also has a massive 4.7″ display which is the biggest screen HTC have ever put on a phone. There is also a dual flash 8mp camera to be found on the back which can record HD 720P video.

It comes in a very sleek and attractive package measuring only 9.9mm in thickness but strangely quite heavy weighing 160 grams in its 131.5 x 70.7 x 9.9 mm package. The exterior of the handset is made from a single piece of material which ensures it is strong and sturdy in the hand.

The only drawback is the Titan only has 512MB of RAM, the latest Mango update brings multi tasking into play which in turn will need more RAM. We will have to see if that affects the performance of the phone.

Either way this is the most powerful WP7 phone to be announced to date and will be available at the end of September/start of October. We now have a HTC Titan deals page available.

The Radar can be considered the little brother of the Titan. Coming in a much more compact 120.5mm x 61.5mm x 10.9mm and weighing 137g the Radar features a 1 GHz processor with 512MB of ram.

The smaller package also results in a smaller display at 3.8″ which is still pretty big, just not as big as the Titan’s 4.7″ monster! There is also a 5MP camera capable of recording 720P video and 8GB of internal memory.

Like the Titan, the Radar is also made with a unibody design to ensure the handset is strong and able to resist the daily knocks and bumps of everyday life.

You should see the Radar hitting shelves at the end of this month/start of October.

HTC vs Windows Phone 7

HTC have invested a lot of time in improving the default Android experience, and WP7 has been lucky enough to receive the same care and attention. They have updated and added a lot of their own apps including HTC Hub, Notes and Stocks. The updates to these apps have a range of improvements such as the Notes application now syncing with Evernote.

There are also a couple of new kids on the block. HTC Watch will allow you to stream movies easily and conveniently directly to the handset. Footprints tracks where you have been and allows you to tag photos and notes on your travels. You will also find the HTC DLNA client so you can access all of your current media through your handset.

HTC have put the most work into improving the camera software though, and in all fairness they have done a cracking job! The new camera software features touch focus, burst mode, sweeping panorama and allows you to switch between the front and rear cameras with ease. This feature will be exclusive to the Titan and Radar and will not be available for older HTC WP7 handsets.

In Closing

Although both of the handsets look fantastic, I’m not to sure how many people will rush out to buy them. WP7 has not had the best start and is already losing market share to Android and iOs. The WP7 Mango update is meant to address a lot of problems and bring the OS up to speed with the competition.

Personally I’m an Android snob, although I have quite enjoyed using WP7 devices when I have spent some time with them.

The HTC Titan and HTC Radar will both be available at the end of September / start of October. Sign up above to get new and updates on the handsets, including availability and pricing.

A strange and unknown handset showed up on craigslist last week, it turns out to be a prototype of HTC’s unannounced Holiday handset. We first heard about the HTC Holiday in May and things have been quiet since then, so to find a fully functional prototype out in the wild is exciting.

The handset was purchased by someone from the XDA forums, and although it isn’t in pristine condition it is fully functional. The HTC Holiday is packing a dual core 1.2 GHz processor, 1GB ram, a rear 8MP camera and a front facing 1.3MP camera.

The screen is huge measuring at 4.5 inches which provides the perfect playground for Android 2.3. No further details about the handset are known at the moment, or if it will even come to the UK but HTC are due to announce a range of new handsets in the coming weeks.

The prototype handsets was packed full of AT&T branding, so a USA release is very likely but there’s no reason we won’t see it here as well.

It looks like they have given the HTC Sensation a healthy dose of steroids! Could this be a sneak preview of things to come?

We first heard about the HTC Vigor through a leaked image that had been taken with its camera. We didn’t really know anything else about this mysterious handset but more details are beginning to surface.

A NenaMark1 benchmark score has helped to break the handsets cover and shows the HTC Vigor will feature a 1280×720 resolution display with a 1.5Ghz processor. It will also feature the powerful Qualcomm Adreno 220 GPU and run on Android 2.3.4.

The rough specifications do look very exciting indeed, and with HTC planning to release 8 new handsets by the end of the year I wouldn’t be surprised to see something with a screen of the quality and ultra fast processor. Stay tuned for more details as they become available!

The EVO 3D will be HTC’s first step into the 3D mobile world. It will feature a dual core 1.2ghz processor, 1GB ram, Android 2.3 and dual 5 megapixel cameras. However up until now there had been now official word on the HTC EVO 3D release date.

Vodafone had previously confirmed that the HTC EVO 3D will be released at the same time as other exciting handsets, we assumed this ment September. Then last week, Vodafone said that they would not be stocking the EVO 3D.

HTC have now published an official statement saything the EVO 3D will be available in the UK via Carphone Warehouse from September 2011. Hopefully this means that the handset won’t be a network exclusive although we can’t confirm this at the moment.

The EVO 3D is certainly an impressive handset, it packs some serious hardware to say the least. It is also capable of displaying and recording 3D media whether thats a still image or HD video. All of this is displayed on a huge 4.3inch qHD display and the HTC Sense 3.0 interface.

So thats that then, the HTC EVO 3D release date has been confirmed as September. There are already a range of HTC EVO 3D Deals to choose from if you want to pre order the handset.

So far the platform hasn’t had much of an impact on the market, but hopefully with the help of HTC’s hardware that’s about to change.

The leaked specifications for the HTC Omega include a 3.8″ display, 1.5 GHz processor and 512mb of ram. I think its a little light on the memory side of things personally.

There’s also 16GB of integrated storage and an 8 megapixel camera capable of recording 720P HD video. There are also the usual things such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

Microsoft have set out strict minimum hardware requirements to manufacturers so this gives us a good picture of what kind of specifications to expect from other handsets.

There has been no official word on the release date for the HTC Omega but I imagine it will launch with the rest of the Windows Phone 7 Mango handsets in autumn. Stay tuned for more details as we get them!

In the leaked image above, you can see a test version of the 1.35.0.0 software been pushed over the air. The Pyramid is what the HTC Sensation was called internally before it’s public announcement.

The update is massive, standing a 368.92MB and it doesn’t really state what the update does other than to improve performance and add new features. At first I thought it looks like a full on Android deployment, and could possibly be a test build of Android 2.4 for the HTC Sensation.

Upon further investigation though, some users of the Xda forum have posted it for download and the only noticeable differences reported so far are improvements in battery life and GPS.

No news on when this update will be pushed out yet.

Check out these great HTC Sensation deals.

The EVO 3D is HTC’s first venture into the 3D mobile phone market and it looks like they have hit the nail on the head. On paper it packs some impressive hardware specifications and has looks that could kill but how does the EVO 3D perform in the real world? We will be putting the phone through it’s paces to see exactly how it performs.

HTC EVO 3D Contract Deals

Use the comparison tool below to compare offers from over 20 UK based merchants. We update the deals every single day to make sure you always have instant access to the best deals.

The Hardware

First of all let’s take a look under the bonnet of the EVO 3D. HTC have included a dual core 1.2Ghz processor which is supported by a huge 1GB of RAM. With a processor like that and the huge amount of RAM available the EVO 3D will chew through anything you throw at it with ease. The handset will be able to flip and skip through menus without lag or delay.

One of the key focuses of the handset is it 3D display, a 4.3 inch qHD touch screen that is capable of displaying razor sharp images at 960 x 540 pixels. There’s no need for 3D glasses either as the phone uses the same parallax technology that is found in the Nintendo 3DS. The 3D element of the display is optional though, and can be toggled on and off with a switch.

HTC have a reputation for building sturdy devices and the design of the EVO 3D feels solid and stable in your hands. When I first saw the device online, I thought it looked a bit bulky but after holding one in the hand this is certainly not the case. It is actually quite slim and it has a textured backing which ensures it feels good in your hands. The overall look and styling of the device really appeals to me, it looks rough and rugged.

3D Cameras

There are also dual 5 megapixel cameras which are designed to capture both 3D and 2D images. The cameras come with autofocus and a dual LED flash to light up dark environments. The cameras also act as a 3D 720P HD camcorders to capture all of the action in full 3D and stereo sound. If video calling is more your game then there is also a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera.

I’m actually quite impressed by the performance of the cameras. Usually with mobile cameras there is quite a lot of delay between the time you press the button to the time it actually takes the picture. This isn’t the case with the EVO 3D and the responsiveness is very impressive. It also performed very well in low light conditions with the help of the dual LED flash.

You will also be able to share your 3D content with the world in an instant. You can post it to your Facebook profile or upload it to Youtube 3D directly from the handset.

Google Android

The HTC EVO 3D will be released with Google Android Gingerbread 2.3 with further updates planned for the future. HTC have a good track record of providing Android updates for its devices unlike other manufacturers which have left customers frustrated in the past.

HTC will also be deploying the latest version of their well accredited HTC Sense user interface. HTC Sense 3.0 brings a number of new features to the table including customizable lock screens that will show you social status updates and much more instead of just the usual clock.

HTC have crafted an amazing handset, there will be a number of HTC EVO 3D deals been announced over the next couple of weeks. However you will probably be able to pick up the handset free of charge if you opt for a HTC EVO 3D contract. Although no pricing has been announced yet, I would expect to see this priced around the £500-£600 sim free in the UK.

The HTV Evo 3D has been announced in the UK this morning and will feature a glasses free 3D display similar to the LG Optimus 3D and Nintendo 3DS.

HTC have put a huge focus into the camera functionality of the Evo 3D. The handset will feature dual 5 megapixel cameras capable of capturing 3D images and video. They are using new camera sensors which are capable of capturing at f/2.2 aperture which should make those low light pictures much better. There will also be a dual LED flash to help light up your target!

HTC will also be making a big push with its iTunes movie service rival HTC Watch. They will be teaming up with Hollywood to deliver a range of 2D and 3D movies on demand. It’s not clear how much this will cost yet, but stay tuned for more details. The Green Lantern 3D is set to be bundled with the handset but we don’t know if that’s the case for the UK yet.

We also don’t know if you will be able to upload 3D video directly from the handset, but I’m sure HTC will be making adjustments to the Sense interface to support the 3D section of YouTube.

All of this will be displayed on the 4.3″ qHD display complete with stereo surround sound driven by a 1.2ghz dual core snapdragon processor on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Basically they have taken the HTC Sensation and slapped a 3D display on it.

There is now confirmed release date for the HTC Evo 3D yet but I would expect a July release and I would expect pricing to fall in line with the HTC Sensation and LG Optimus 3D. We will be posting all of the best HTC EVO 3D contract deals as they become available.

Vodafone UK secured the exclusive for the HTC Sensation but as of the 20th of June it will no longer be a Vodafone exclusive handset. Retailers are gearing up to offer the Sensation on a bunch of other deals which you can see below.

You will be able to pick up the HTC Sensation on any of the major UK networks including O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Three. Vodafone had previously set the price for the handset as free on a £36 24 month contract which is a bit on the high side if you ask me but with the end of exclusivity is the start of a good ole fashioned price war!

The HTC Sensation is HTC’s current flag ship phone released last month. It has the latest version of Google Android OS 2.3.3 with the fluid HTC Sense 3.0 interface over the top. It has a powerful dual core 1.2ghz processor, 768MB of RAM and an 8 megapixel camera capable of recording in full 1080P HD. All of that is splashed over a beautiful 4.2 display!

If your out in the market for the new phone the HTC Sensation should be seriously considered, its only real competition comes from the Samsung Galaxy S 2. Check out the HTC Sensation deals below-

The iPhone 4 was the original innovator of the ‘Death Grip’ and now it seems that the HTC Sensation suffers the same fate.

The Nordic Hardware crew have been putting the phone through its paces recently and discovered the handset suffers from similar death grip problems as the iPhone 4.

However, the problems are much worse than the iPhone 4 as the death grip not only affects your mobile signal but also signal loss for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as well. The culprit for this is the metal unibody aluminium rear case cover which when covered see’s a noticeable signal drop for mobile, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Even if you place the phone flat on your palm the drop is significant, and I imagine many people cover the backs of the phones when using them to talk. This is the first time a HTC phone has suffered from an issue like this and they have officially responded to the claims.

HTC have officially denied any antenna issue (so did Apple) and say that every phone will suffer from reduced signal strengths when the antenna is completely covered and that under normal usage conditions this will not affect the performance of the HTC Sensation.

Since there have been numerous reports about the issue, GSMArena reported the handset could lose all Wi-Fi signal with ease while Slashgear couldn’t reproduce the issue on the unit they have.

Have you got a HTC Sensation? If you have, are you getting signal problems? Let us know in the comments!
