HTC have made several improvements to the Legend over the original HTC Hero-

• OLED Display – One of the biggest changes is the display. Although it is the same size, the AMOLED technology behind it allows for brighter livelier colours, increased battery life and a better resilience to damage
• Optical Trackpad – The original hero had a trackball which has now been swapped out for an optical trackpad much like the one seen on the HTC Desire
• Faster Processor – The HTC Legend also receives a 600mhz processor, where as the Hero featured a 528mhz processor
• Memory – There is also an extra 33% memory stuffed into the HTC Legend, taking the total to 384MB
• Battery Life – Although the HTC Legend features a smaller capacity battery, the more power efficient screen allows for a much longer standby time.

So HTC have made some much welcomed improvements with the HTC Legend handset, but they didnt just stop there!

They have also packed in a 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 802.11b/b Wi-Fi and a GPS receiver.

The HTC Hero took the mobile phone market by storm, and was one of the best selling Android handsets last year. The HTC Legend is set to repeat this success with its hardware upgrades and solid performance.
